Winnekenni Castle is available for
Private Rental Events: 9am-11pm, mid-April thru mid-Sept.
and mid-Nov. thru mid-Dec.
(There are NO rentals during Oct. except for Function-Tent events & the Castle is Closed Winters)
The facility serves well as a venue for:
Capacity: Great Hall (lower floor) - 100 row-seated guests, or approx. - 80 banquet-seated guests.
Over-looking Balcony (upper floor) --may be used to accommodate 30-50 additional guests (fee may apply).
A Few Very Important Facts:
The Castle has central-heat but NO air-conditioning. The Castle’s outer lawn area is public space & is often host to picnics & recreationers; such visitors, however, generally respect private Castle functions.
*ALCOHOL – May be Permitted by making Special Advance Arrangements only. You MUST use our approved professional Bartending Service and adhere to some additional requirements (furnished upon request).
NO SMOKING is allowed inside the Castle.
HOW TO MAKE A RESERVATION:
Speak with a Foundation Representative regarding your plans and facility availability. A formal a reservation will require an authorized contract with a minimum down-payment** of 50% of the indicated Rental Amount and any additional Fees, plus the applicable Security Deposit* ($100-$250).
Note: The Security Deposit is in addition to the rental fee.
The rental down-payment, fees and security deposit monies are ALL NON-Refundable if you CANCEL.
**Entire Rental fee and all other charges are DUE-in FULL by 90-Days prior to the event and are all NON-Refundable.
*Security Deposit is returned by mail 6-8week s after event date provided there are no infractions, damages or cancellations.

The Castle and Grounds provide many options for the staging of your celebration. The Castle's Great Hall, Outer Deck and Grounds are all available for your use. The Castle’s interior yields a warm and intimate setting. It is frequently used as a Wedding Chapel, often followed by an outdoor tent-reception on the Grounds. Ceremonies may also held out on the Deck or on the Lawn with the Castle lending a picturesque backdrop. As such, the Castle’s interior serves well as a gathering spot, receiving room or banquet area. Please visit the Castle to determine how the facility might best meet your event needs!
OUR RENTAL RATES ARE VERY ATTRACTIVE:
Prime-Time Rates (Fri., Sat., Sun. & All Holidays):
$200.-- per Hour
there is a 2-Hour Minimum Booking*
Off-Peak Rates (Mon. through Thurs. must be non-holiday):
4-Hour Block: $200.—(flat rate)
*after 5 Prime-Time rental hours are purchased, any additional consecutive hours are discounted to a _-price rental rate of $100.-- per hour.
April, Nov. & Dec. Rentals bear a $75.—Cold Season Surcharge

“Courtesy Access” for your personal Set-up is permitted during the ONE-Hour directly preceding your rented hours. All additionally-needed time MUST be rented. You must be fully-vacated at the conclusion of your purchased hours.
Carefully consider decorating plans and set-up/breakdown time needed (including that of your caterer and any other providers).
Wedding Rentals offer a 45-min. Courtesy Rehearsal -- subject to Castle and Staff availability & schedules. If you wish to utilize this courtesy option, you must contact us approx. 2-weeks prior to your event to review potential availability and select Date &Time.
You MUST RENT your Rehearsal Date if you require the advance security/planning of a particular date/time.
ALL Set-up, Decorating, and Activity Plans MUST be FULLY-DISCLOSED & APPROVED by the Caretaker or Staff. Note: Holes shall NOT be made in ANY surface.
Tape is NOT permitted, as it damages all finishes.
Open-flame Candles are NOT permitted, -shields/globes/protection MUST be used --no exceptions.
Deliveries/Pick-ups MUST be coordinated with the Caretaker and Castle schedules (no storage is available).
The Castle and Amenities
The Castle provides a unique and enchanting setting where you can design your very own "dream-come-true!"
The Castle & Grounds offer elegance and simplicity along with flexibility that welcomes your personal touches,
which may range from the subtle to the extravagant!
The Castle highly recommends its “preferred” Full-Service Caterer. We can connect you with event managers and an array of varied service providers.
The Castle’s own professional Bartending Service , however, must be hired for ANY alcohol to be permitted.
There are no restrictions regarding your optional use/choice of Caterer, Event Planner, Attendants, Florist, Photographer, Musicians, D.J., Transportation, Service/Equipment Providers, Etc.
The Castle has Tables and Chairs for 140 Guests- Our Caretaker will arrange the Castle’s furnishings inside the Castle, and/or on the Outer Deck (good weather only). Note: Our furniture is not permitted out on the lawn.
(You may privately rent furnishings for this purpose, however, the Castle is unable to assume responsibility for their care, safety or set-up/breakdown). Use of the Castle’s tables will require that you furnish and use tablecloths & heat-insulating mats/trays.
A Baby-Grand Piano graces the Great Hall.
You are permitted to contract a professional musician to play the Piano during your event. The Piano shall otherwise remain covered & locked. Our Piano is tuned annually. Any additional tuning expenses (by our approved tuner only--should a tuning be desired) will be the responsibility of the renter. To preserve its tune, the Piano shall NOT be repositioned or relocated --unless special arrangements are made (fees will apply).
KITCHEN Facilities (limited) Are Available For Use-
OUR KITCHEN provides space for storing, heating chilling and washing. A range and refrigerator are available. You/your Caterer will need to furnish all other appliances, utensils and supplies as needed.
CATERERS MUST contact our Caretaker in advance to review their plans. (A site-visit will be required if your caterer has not worked at the Castle recently.) You will have a nicer result if your caterer is fully-prepared.
About our CARETAKER:
The Caretaker is the Castle’s groundskeeper, custodian, property supervisor and protector. Although he is NOT a provided event-planner nor an event manager/attendant, he is available prior to your event for the related schedulings, info/advice, sets out the Castle’s furnishings prior to your event and during your event he will tend to the restrooms, discretely monitor activity and will be available for questions, facility assistance and emergencies. He will also help establish your event traffic flow and parking scheme.
